The line will be awesome! Just don't have any nitrous or glass. Pack your car so it can be searched easily. Drink beers after being lined up in the field.

It would not be unpossible for you not to arrive till 4. Noon seems to be the busiest time for ingress.

Arrived 7:30 am last year, parked car at tent site at 12:45....over 5 hours....I would expect AT LEAST a 4 hour wait in line before you get to your site.

That was general admission camping. Not VIP.

Last year we arrived about 12-1:00 and waited four or five hours. The year before that I arrived about 6:30-7pm and only waited about five minutes.

make sure you have a full tank of gas and that your radiator reservoir is all set with fluid

nothing worse than overheating or sputtering out while in line

No that was regular camping and I'll never do it again. Did VIP in 2010 and loved it. Last year sucked...heat, far from stage in middle of field....not for me.....this year looks great, weather looks to be cooperating, got some great people to meet.....damn I'm psyched.

^ Me too. What's the VIP wait like, typically? I probably won't get there until 10ish.

There will be at least 3 cars in the vip line at 10 because that is when we plan on getting there. I wanted to show up at 8 but I want to stay awake for the royal family even more.

That's around when we (non-VIPs) are expecting to get there, but I'm hoping it won't be 4 hours this year. Wasn't there some sort of wi-fi or computer glitch when scanning tix that TPTB said was much of the reason for the slowness, and that they had addressed the issue for this year? Pretty sure I read that here somewhere.

Tell me I read that here somewhere.

Lie to me if necessary.

4 hours? That's obscene. I just hope this year, when I ask one of the people working a question that I don't get the old "I dont know, go down there and ask him" only to do so and have "him" tell me he also doesn't know.

I heard there were computer problems but that did not help me. The heat was unbearable and no escaping it during the 5 hour wait. Constantly stopping car, pushing it at times to save gas...had to make a HUGE loop, over 1 mile down, then a turn another mile back to be searched. By the time I started to set up camp I was already overheated and beat. Don't drink too much in line cause there's nowhere to pee. It was horrible. Never again. VIP until I die.Posted Image

Well I'm totally mortified. Would you say that we arrive from Lebanon, PA (3.5 hour drive) to the gates around 4 or 5 on Thursday? Again I have boardie passes or does that mean jack for entry?

I don't know about you, but when I pee, especially when drinking, it would fill up way more than one red Solo cup

Piss 10ounces, dump, piss another 10 ounces dump and repeat. Gatorade bottles work better and if you buy the lemon ones you can leave behind your ones full of piss for ground scores for the wooks.

Home Depot 5 gallon bucket with a creative cut on the lid....not proud but I've done it. If not several red solo cups and incredible rectal...or is it rectum.. skills.

There are portos in the holding field, where they line you up before scanning tickets. Seems you spend a good chunk of time here.

Poop before you leave!

Boardie passes won't get you through lines/security any faster. If anything it's an extra 2 minutes drive after security to East Camp.

Occifer is the man.

30 minutes after you set up camp you will have completely forgot about the ingress. Unless of course you pooped your pants.

Eco, I just piss in a can and dump it out the door but I was trying to be politically correct...Sit in line in 90 degree heat and NOT drink beer? Fuck that.

If I feel like a poop is even close to brewing before I arrive, I stop off at a McDonald's or anywhere with a toilet

Is there a good place to camp the night before? A close rest stop or wall mart that anyone recommends

There is a rest stop maybe 30 or so minutes north if you can sleep in your car. I'm almost entertaining sleeping there so I don't have to get up at 5am.

Hate to say it, but it is what it is. I just take my time and move along, and I say to the people who check my car, "you'll forget about me after I've gone". Truth is, I take what I find, but I don't want no more. It's just right outside the open door.

I feel a song coming on....
