I obviously snagged this from the Vibes facebook page, but I hope you're all as excited as I am that we're nearly in the single digits for the countdown! Well, technically, we're already 9 days and a few hours away but still!

Fun fact: another one of the operations interns and I took these signs out of storage [and a heap of rats' nests] and sorted them appropriately, so I'm just so pleased at how organized this pile looks. My personal favorite is one among the "Ferris wheel" signs that says "Save Ferris."

you should take one of each of those signs and put them on a signpost with the arrows pointing straight up into the sky (you probably shouldn't do that )

Indeed, I am a college student! I actually just completed my minimum amount of hours for 3 credits as of 2 pm, so I think that is already setting me in the right direction. Hopefully my boss thinks I've done a good job as well...

But when an official GOTV sign at the end of the highway exit ramp points to the left instead of to the right, even with directions it's a little bit confusing... just sayin'

Yes, Dee, this is my first Vibes! I probably would not have come if not for the internship, I will be honest - I'm a college student, my budget is a bit restricted. However, I am learning SO much while working in the office and cannot wait for the festival to begin so I can see it all come together finally; I've heard a lot about it since I live so close to Bridgeport [plus Ken came to speak at my school in February, AND there are two other kids in my program at school who worked with Vibes last year that raved about it]. My taste in music is...different than the majority of Vibes goers, to say the least. Occifer Boland knows what I'm talking about haha I am missing out on volunteering at the NY/CT dates of Warped Tour as I normally do each summer to be at Vibes but it is rather exciting to be working with such a famous festival. Plus, everyone who attends, Boardie or not, puts a big emphasis on Vibes being a community and even a family, which is something that as an avid concert/show goer, I value above all. I could ramble about this for hours....yeah.

I went as Nicki Minaj for one of my Halloween costumes this year, pink wig and all. The other was the Blink 182 nurse from Enema of the State. YUP.

I would love to rep my letters but I think I'd rather have a staff shirt haha I always have a Pi Phi keychain on my key ring, though! Maybe I'll wear some angel wings as well, who knows?

I'm bummed I'm missing this year but I went NUTS for last year's lineup! I'm such a scene kid: We Came as Romans, Set Your Goals, The Wonder Years, Enter Shikari, The Acacia Strain, The Devil Wears Prada, A Day to Remember, and Attack Attack as;lfjkawer best day of my summer by far.

I love them, and I love my new WCAR Stay Positive tank [featured in the intern arrow sign photo above], and I especially love their fan base. They tossed a drum stick in the crowd at the end of their set and a bunch of kids fought for it, including myself, but some dude managed to get it. I think I said "good job" or something like that, and he insisted that I have it instead. I felt really bad but I took it, he was really nice! Another kid came up to me 5 minutes later and offered me $10 for the drum stick, but I told him I'd be happy if he just bought me a water - I have a nice collection of drum sticks from various shows at home, anyway. I just love them and their music and I saw them both times at Bamboozle and it was SO WORTH IT.
