I'm going to try my hardest to make the memorial but it's not looking too good for me right now.

I wish I could make this.

I have work scheduled stuff in NJ and Philly on Friday and Monday.
I will be there in spirit.
if you change your mind, we're heading up after work on Friday and heading home on Sunday. you're welcome to share the ride, of course.

I never got to meet her, yet I feel touched by the sense of humor she added to threads I was involved in...as much as I might like to be at the memorial, it is unlikely. So I will say, I'm with you all in spirit.
Savor the 'visitations' that happen.

Definitely the food should be cutetwo nights approved by this host, for sure
I have been daydreaming about food: we, of course, should have holyguacamole, smarties, cute little lunch plates and lasagna sandwiches and broccoli dishes and whatever croutons and vegan salad dressing recipe I saw this week-end that she had posted. ffta
I am sure whatever shows up will be just fine but thought I would share my daydreams because they made me smile.

jazzfest in nola was one of the last places i got to hang with julia in 3d, and i'd like to think she'd approve of my trip to the crescent city. many glasses will be raised in her honor and memory.
