Jonez it would be relatively easy for Dave to come from NYC to BPT for a 1 timer. He has a regular core of musicians who could put on a full show no prob.
nyc? i heard he has a house in westport, so not even that. he lives two towns over, to the best of my knowledge
I'd bet you that if that happened, they probably wouldn't be playing any Talking Heads material.
i know the tom tom club doesn't regularly do talking heads things, but they played a show at ftc a little while back - within the past two or so months, i believe - that i wasn't able to make; but, i heard they busted out some talking heads songs during the set; i heard "psycho killer" was the encore

Yeah, David does some too in concert. But David has no interest in doing a TH reunion thing. Chris Franz did an interview on NPR about 6 months or so ago, and one of the topics brought up was a Talking Head reunion. He said that he had dinner with David a few months earlier and started to ask him about it, but David cut off by him before he could complete the thought, saying he had no interest in doing a reunion thing.

that's very disappointing. i'd still like to be optimistic though and figure that even if they don't do a reunion or anything, that wouldn't hold any of them from doing a few talking heads songs during a show. either way, i'm down to see david byrne at vibes

If either of them played, I'd be surprised if they didn't play some Talking Heads material.

I'm surprised they're even civil enough to sit down for a meal together.
