It was ALL "that" section....I was, not literally but almost, the only person standing in a 8 section radius.
This is happening more and more frequently.
Guess I expect it for something like Bonnie Raitt - at one point I was literally the only one in the place up and dancing.
But sitting for The Beach Boys rocking it out and The Allmans is just plain wierd.

i stand and sit alternately during shows. i attend with the general expectation and acceptance that people will be standing and, should i choose to sit, my view and sound quality will likely diminish. It's like I'm in a life-long ongoing war with the "Sit-down people." I'll comply only if it's absolutely unanimous around me, otherwise I encourage everyone around me to rock out until the movement gradually grows big enough to be unstoppable. You people really fucking suck at life!
Remember that Allman bros show? That dude tried to kill me. I guess telling a 7 foot biker giant to go fuck himself was the wrong thing to say.
there *might* have been a better way to address the issue given the circumstances.

amen! haha
not sure ive ever even said amen before, but i kinda like that it was to you! (and about this!)
this happens to me at martin sexton concerts, ani difranco concerts (unless you're in a standing only section), bruce hornsby.....the absolute worst is when i actually have GOOD seats. do i sit in the third row cuz its a great seat, or move back to dance. (always end up choosing the latter)
there were a lot of sections standing, there were a few (3-4-5ish for sure) that were not. not sure what was happening "upstairs"

Ain't it the truth.
I'm seriously considering a new ticket buying strategy.
Go for the last row instead of the front.

We think about that kind of thing when buying tickets.....got David Byrne tickets the other day and I was psyched to realize that behind us is a staircase, and no one to bitch if we want to dance. YAY!

It is THE WORST at the Allman Brothers. People get up and dance for Revival or whatever, but insist that they can tell you to sit down during Liz Reed because THEY do not want to dance at that particular time. FUUUUUUUCK YOU!

they were behind the scaffolding that held the projectors, and if you got close enough you were just looking through the bottom of the scaffolding (which is basically see through).....we ended up sitting there ourselves. not sure if its different sitch at non baseball fields

the obstructed views at fenway weren't bad at all if you are concerned about your funds. they were "sold out" of them weeks before the show but they had an abundance of them at the box office day of.

Awesome, thanks for the info!
