What an AMAZING experience. Roger Waters is incredible. What a show. Unless you've seen it, you don't really know.

The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that a huge number of people in the audience chose to enjoy the show partially through the 3 inch screens of their phones. I'm not sure if they thought that no pictures exist of the show and they needed to document the spectacle, or if they just don't like being fully engaged, but it makes me sad. To have THAT in front of you and choose to look at on a tiny screen for a good percentage of the time...blows my mind. Unfortunately, my wife is one of these people. She says she enjoys it. I say when you're looking at a phone, you're NOT looking at the most amazing, visually arresting display you're likely to see any time soon.

But that didn't stop me from enjoying the show to the fullest, no matter what. :D Simply spectacular.

The phone shit is definitely out of hand at pretty much every show I work, I don't get it either.

Haven't seen The Wall yet but that changes when I get to see it Sunday on THE WALL at Fenway

NOW you know why I originally had no problem giving up Phish at SPAC for seeing that again, this time at Yankee Stadium. The only reason I'm not going now is I really want my uncle to experience it. The man has done so much for me in my life, it's my honor to do this for him.

Don't know if it's still there or not.

Hellmotherflurkingyeah! I also saw it two years ago at the Boston Garden. Literally in tears during Goodbye Blue Skies.

Deeeefinitely one to catch if you're able to. I don't even think of it as a show/concert. More of an "All-encompassing Spectacle for the Senses."

Is G. E. Smith still touring with him? He does justice to those solo's for sure!

And yeah, don't get me started on the goddamn phone thing.

Im going to the show on the 6th at Yankees stadium.
Will be my 3rd time...had to see it at the stadium though.

For those who are in the nyc area, Roger's son Harry, a friend of mine, will be playing the night before in the city.
He is a Jazz musician, besides touring with his father.

Here is a link:

Yea, I got about 5 shots of large objects and writing on the wall. I avoided that completely when first I saw it in Buffalo. I was close on the floor and didn't see where the wall landed, but it did seem to come down in a weird way.

We went when it came around 2 years ago and were so impressed, we're going back tonight despite the high ticket prices.

Took my son to Buffalo and had to take my wife to the local show. Even though we'd given some of it away from our first viewing, she was imnpressed also. How they sync 9 projectors and can add each brick to the video as it is built amazes me every time.

I cried as the kids (especailly the one girl) sees her dad return in her classroom.
My dad was gone for a year when I was in Kindergarten...almost didn't know him when he came back. Very hard on families.

And G.E. Smith is there still...along with 2 other guitarists who also ripped solos. Be ready to loose db's hearing range durring the comfortably numb solo.

Everyone who has still to see it...enjoy.

Saw it last night with me gurl in Albany... was epic. Took a bunch of pix and short videos. We were 15 rows or sow back and almost dead center. Was as good as the time we saw Pink Floyd at Yankee Stadium, 10 rows from the stage.

From what I remember from seeing it, it was only Gilmour on the top of the wall during Comfortably Numb...and Gilmour srewed up the words. Otherwise it was pretty cool. Mason only came out on stage during Outside The Wall and (I think) played some tambourine.

WOW

Just the shear size of that wall was impressive, it stretched from deep in the stands of left field corner all the way across the outfield, over the bullpen and up into the bleachers near the Dunkin Donuts sign.

Oh yeah the music and visual shit didn't suck either :afro:

The Wall was like 4x bigger at Fenway than it was in the 2 arena shows I saw.....what a diffrence being outdoors made. The sound was not as crisp but the effects were SO MUCH BIGGER!

Sheer awesomeness.

i figured it must have been. i was trying to picture it in one of the indoor venues they just played at and kept thinking there was no way that whole wall fit in those places.

we were under the balcony fora while, but once we moved forward and had those speakers behind us it was so flipping cool, the chanting and stuff wigged me out a little haha as IT SHOULD, its Roger freakin waters!

All the sitting people were a drag, but I quickly moved over to the edge of the soundboard, where they had not sold any tickets for like 5 sections.....I sacrificed a little view but had tons of space to dance and the sound was great!

Totally!! I was having a discussion at a barbecue on Saturday with some friends who saw it on Saturday night who couldn't believe people weren't dancing. I sat for the entire show, the first time I saw it because there was too much going on with the theatrics and music to bother with dancing. The second time, I danced a little bit, but still sat down for most of the show.

I did sit for a lot of the show, but Run Like Hell requires dancing for me. And it was just easier to not deal with the SIT DOWN people.

completely. except i started getting some pain and had to stand for a while during the second half, but we were in the last row so i couldn't have annoyed anyone either.
