What an AMAZING experience. Roger Waters is incredible. What a show. Unless you've seen it, you don't really know.
The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that a huge number of people in the audience chose to enjoy the show partially through the 3 inch screens of their phones. I'm not sure if they thought that no pictures exist of the show and they needed to document the spectacle, or if they just don't like being fully engaged, but it makes me sad. To have THAT in front of you and choose to look at on a tiny screen for a good percentage of the time...blows my mind. Unfortunately, my wife is one of these people. She says she enjoys it. I say when you're looking at a phone, you're NOT looking at the most amazing, visually arresting display you're likely to see any time soon.
But that didn't stop me from enjoying the show to the fullest, no matter what.
Simply spectacular.
Yea, I got about 5 shots of large objects and writing on the wall. I avoided that completely when first I saw it in Buffalo. I was close on the floor and didn't see where the wall landed, but it did seem to come down in a weird way.
We went when it came around 2 years ago and were so impressed, we're going back tonight despite the high ticket prices.
Took my son to Buffalo and had to take my wife to the local show. Even though we'd given some of it away from our first viewing, she was imnpressed also. How they sync 9 projectors and can add each brick to the video as it is built amazes me every time.
Hellmotherflurkingyeah! I also saw it two years ago at the Boston Garden. Literally in tears during Goodbye Blue Skies.
Deeeefinitely one to catch if you're able to. I don't even think of it as a show/concert. More of an "All-encompassing Spectacle for the Senses."
Is G. E. Smith still touring with him? He does justice to those solo's for sure!
And yeah, don't get me started on the goddamn phone thing.
I cried as the kids (especailly the one girl) sees her dad return in her classroom.
My dad was gone for a year when I was in Kindergarten...almost didn't know him when he came back. Very hard on families.
And G.E. Smith is there still...along with 2 other guitarists who also ripped solos. Be ready to loose db's hearing range durring the comfortably numb solo.
Everyone who has still to see it...enjoy.
