I mostly lurk here these days, and Amy hasn't posted in years, but I thought I'd share that tomorrow is our 10 year anniversary! Can you believe that wifey has put up with me for so long? Next month marks 11 years since that fateful thread started by Happy Camper on 'these' very boards, that brought Amy and I together. No super shmoop content here, other than I'm still blessed every day to live my life with such a kickass woman...and hope this finds you fine folks doing well. We'll be celebrating by checking out the Beach Boys tomorrow, then raging Saturday with friends and Gov't Mule. Hope to see some of you out & about this summer...

Agreed. The Beach Boys put on a fabulous show!
Ryan - Were people up and dancing at SPAC?
J- in kind of a role-reversal, people in the expensive seats were standing and dancing for most of the show. The Balcony was mostly seated. Didnt go to the lawn during the music so I can say to that.

Nice. At Mohegan Sun the whole place was seated, except for the last few songs of each set.
I was bummed because we had 9th row seats that I ditched out of to go stand in the back with security.
Most of the time it was just me and the security folks up and dancing.

Thanks, friends! Seems crazy to me that it's been ten years already, and I'm sure might feel like 15 for Amy, haha...that said, we'd be happy to celebrate again next weekend with sarah b., and anyone else hitting up the Phish shows...I appreciate the kind thoughts/words, folks, and will share them with wifey.

if i recall correctly, the minister lady wasn't altogether thrilled with the fact that you had met through the internet.
i need to transfer my pics from my old computer to this one soon.
happy, happy, anniversary to what i believe IS the first true blue 'boardie couple', i love you both.

Happy Anniversary and Congrats Lance and Amy! Its great to read your presence again. I can't believe how fast time flies. 10 years is a celebration and also a reflection on how fast this ball is spinning. Holy cow! Margie and I will have been together for 10 years in March 2013, and married for 8 years that same month. Too fast, too fast...
Love to Amy, and your little brother, and you!

Thanks again, folks. Amy and I appreciate the kind thoughts/words...July 5th marks 11 years since Amy and I first met, thanks again to that Happy Camper post about a couple of local girls looking to meet like minded folks to hang out with and enjoy live music, haha...There were lots of shmoop posts in that year between our first meeting, and our wedding day in '02...and we still feel blessed to have had great boardie friends at the wedding, and still in our lives today...
Nancy--too funny that you remember that!! The 'guest' minister wasn't too keen on me, because of my outspoken agnostic self...marrying a practicing Christian. Hence her weird sermon/diatribute in the middle of our ceremony. We still laugh about that today, but I was pissed 'the day of'...Oh, and we love, love, love you, too Nancykind, and hope to run into you again soon.
Jason--great to 'see' you here, too, brother. I can't believe March marks ten years for you and Margie, to which I say cheers, my good man!! Amy and I still have such fond memories of that overnight at the shore many moons ago. Big love back to you guys.
Georgi--Congrats again to you and Rich. I hope you're both finding bliss in parenthood with your adorable Emilia!!
