Well maybe not always so subtle. But definitely subversive. The music isn't terrible (just bland and trite) so you kind of enjoy the terribleness they are making fun of.
I wasn't sure of what to make of the album till around track 3 (Grandest Canyon). The album is pretty fucking hilarious, and obnoxiously easy to listen to. So bad.
