so i'm sitting in the house, waiting out the most epic-est storm of ever. i'm supposed to be at my brother's place an hour and a half away. my other brother and his family are in from Kentucky and we're supposed to be bbq'ing tonight.

meanwhile, the alarms are going off at the firehouse down the road, it's hailing and the power keeps going out. i hope this all passes soon. i want to see my family darn it!!!

how 'bout you guys...any crazy weather there? other than KrisNYG i mean  i know she's getting some too. :)

Just started rolling in as I crawled out of my windowless AC'd sanctuary. It was almost 100 degrees up here on the 3rd floor but now it's cooling down quick! Woke up just in time.

I hope we don't lose power. That would be bad :undecided:

We had big boomers, sideways rain. We were hanging out with the baby and all of a sudden the power went out, and we heard a ginormous BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! A transformer must have blown or something. Power came back on, though. Rich had the generator running for a bit and then we saw the neighbors had power, so he turned it off. So glad we got that thing! :woot:

So much cooler out now!

it was GREAT talking to you Kristen (though i am still a bit concerned about things i may have texted to my sis in law, now that i know that i wasn't texting you all that time!)

not sure this trip is going to happen tonight. the national park i drive through to get there has a major flash flood warning until 9pm and there's really no good way around it that wouldn't take me an hour out of my way. i might just wait for kiltboy to get home and see what's he's up for tonight.

Finally just cleared out here on LI. Lots of thunder, wind and rain. Lost power about 4 times for a minute or two. Alot of traffic lights are out.

The forecast actually changed for Albany on noaa.gov. The thunderstorms are no longer listed for tonight, now they're forecasted for tomorrow. That's no good... Liz is coming up to Albany has something planned for me. Boo!!

time for round 4 *ding*

it's pouring again and there's flooding everywhere...needless to stay, i cancelled my plans and am living vicariously through the photos of a great family gathering that keep popping up on Facebook  apparently they had a cake for me and stuff...my niece ended up wearing most of it, looks like

but the house is wide open and smells like salt air for the first time in a week so that's pretty awesome

i wish we could get some of that action
when i leave my meat lock-er, bedroom, i am greeted by that same mass of gross hot thick wet air that has been everpresent for days now :plain:
come and whoosh it away, storms! :gah:

noaa has greatly downgraded any chance we are getting some action
oh well
back to the meatlocker
