Update at the break (they have been back for a few minutes now)...Matty's stack is around100K, putting him among the chip-leaders. There are around 151 left, winning $3421 now, until it hits 135, when it goes up to $3831.
Also, Layne Flack isn't acting behind Matty, he's *sitting* behind Matty, at a different table. *whew*
Go Matty!

These guys are still in it:

http://en.wikipedia....ki/Jason_Lester
http://en.wikipedia....wiki/David_Pham (at Matty's table today)
http://en.wikipedia....ki/Blair_Hinkle (at Matty's table today)
Of course, Matty's got more chips than any of them.

Just spoke with him. He got 5 hours of sleep last night and popped out of bed. He sounded rested and ready to play, and very psyched. He said Layne Flack was drinking a good amount and estimated he was about 10 beers deep when Matt doubled through him twice at the end. Layne had AQ pushed and matty called with KK, which held up. That was the second double-up. Layne dropped out shortly after.
His head's in a great place and he's looking forward to making the final table, whch will be webcast.

I'm not sure if ESPN shows other events aside from the Main Event...
last couple of seasons they've been showing final tables from all sorts of events, starting with the circuit event,s even.. this is all leading up to the main event which has several weeks of coverage. not sure what their plan is this year. but it would be super cool to see the Nut on the TV.
edit: just poked around... not this year... just the big game, and the main event.

sure if this is some sort of weird coincidence or if the idea is that they are showing the end of each event and nut happens to still be in it, but.....

Manza Leads into Final Day; Pham, Hinkle and Clements in Contention

Welcome back to the Rio as we play down to a champion here in Event 38: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em at the 2012 World Series of Poker. Who will be the champion? Well, that's what you're here to find and we can tell you that regardless of who takes home the victory, it's going to be a great day of poker.
Of the 21 players who will arrive to the table today, it is Jeffrey Manza who starts with the largest chip stack. Manza's 1,302,000 in chips is only almost matched by Dung Nguyen's 1,273,000, while the next closest player is Matthew Pierce with 763,300.
Also joining these big chip stacks at the felt are Scott Clements, Blair Hinkle and David Pham. All of these players have proven themselves on the big stage of the WSOP before, and will be looking to add another bracelet to their trophy cabinets.
Of course, there can only be one winner though and if one of the above players wants to come away with the "w", they will need to get through the likes of Zachary Korik, Michael Borovitz, Blake Cahail and Jesse Wilke.
There will be no better way to find out who becomes our newest champion than getting all the live updates from PokerNews, so strap yourselves in and get ready for some poker. It all begins at 1:00 PM, don't miss it!
