My brother, H.P. Thundernut III Esq., flew into Sin City at 3am this morning (he was delayed in Hotlanta) from beautiful Smallbany (yes I'm working in as many city nicknames as I can here...deal.) He's taking part in the 2012 World Series of Poker.
For those who may be interested, he plans to enter a couple of the smaller buy-in ($1000-$2500) NL Hold 'Em tourneys, as well as trying to win a seat into the big $10,000 main event.

Update!!
Matty is playing in the $1500 NL Hold 'Em tournament. After Day 1, the field of 2534 is down to 278. The money starts at 270, with play resuming today. 270 is paid around $2700. Matty has $40K in chips, which is the average. Top prize is over 600K, plus a WSOP bracelet.
Keep the good thoughts coming!!!

It's this kind of stuff that makes players insane:
The Tank Man
Francisco Riosvallejo tangled with Gabriel Nassif and the latter took an age over every decision.
We caught up with the action on the
flop and Riosvallejo led out for 6,600. Nassif took about two minutes and calmly slid in the call.
The turn landed as
and Riosvallejo fired for 9,400. Another two minutes of thinking and stack counting went on from Nassif before he called again. The river was the
