OK so I wanted to just document this in hopes it will help get it fixed. (Mac OS 10.6.8, Safari 5.1.5) Firefox is even more problematic.

Whenever I use smilies or quote something with smilies in it, the "post" button deactivates and does nothing when pushed and then nothing else works posting-wise until I manually log out. When I do log out I get this error message:
