HAMILTON — Timothy E. Cooper, 33, musician and writer, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, Oct. 3, 2010.

Graduated from Shore Country Day, Essex Christian Academy and North Shore Community College.

Leaves his mom and dad, Doris and David Cooper of Hamilton and his aunt, Barbara Copithorne of Ft. Myers, Fla.

ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial service will be at the First United Methodist Church, Hamilton at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010.

I just got a call from trippiehippiechic. Tim (Nucka) passed away last weekend, at home on the couch (He fell asleep, his mom let him be. He simply didn't wake up. He'd recently gotten out of rehab and things were looking up for him.).*

Steph said his parents made a nice service for him. Some of his best friends spoke. His old baseball coach spoke, etc.

I figure he's either enjoying the afterlot or jamming with some of his favorite musicians. RIP, Tim.


*His family's still waiting for toxicology reports to find out what caused his death. He'd recently been given methadone by his doctor, which he hadn't received in rehab (he had been given subutex [99% sure that's what she said; it was not methadone] in rehab). I realize what did it doesn't change that he's gone, but it's natural to wonder, so I'm posting the information I was given. Talking to Marpa now ... he didn't know. Sorry for not calling anyone who would've preferred to get a phone call.

Having met Tim to give him a ride to Vibes; after "knowing" him on the boards for many years.... I was at first a bit apprehensive; and few things make me feel like that.

However after picking him up and a few minutes of conversation - I met a very different Nucka that sometimes showed himself on these here boards. He was articulate, intelligent, and funny as hell.

I'm saddened I did not hear of this until after the service.... I would have liked to have been able to pay my respects.

RIP Timmy.... you were a far better man then many - I had hoped to enjoy another conversation or two with you - until then my friend

I don't even know how to begin to process this, or how I feel about it. I too got to meet Tim away from the boards, many times. I saw other things there than what he put on the boards.

aww... I was hoping to meet him this year at Vibes. he had so much going on in his life, and I was able to tell he had so much potential in him. He was fighting so hard to do the right thing, and find the right path. May you truly Rest in Peace, Nucka.

((creekie)) It's okay, Creekie. The highs were high, but he won't have to deal with the lows being so low anymore. I'm finding some comfort in that. I'm glad for his parents that he was at home, and they didn't get a call from a lot or the police. I don't think he meant to go, but I reckon he wasn't feeling any pain. Pain-free's really not a bad way to go, as long as you're going. I figure the best way I can honor him is to pay attention to the music being played, sing along at the fireside jams and be the kind of friend he was to me to others. Spirit walks hand in heart for a lifetime, if you let it. That's all I know.

Not to make it about me at all, but I will definitely use this as part of my motivation for staying clean. I'll have 6 months tomorrow. Much love to Nucka and all his family and friends. So sad.

Please do use this as motivation and inspiration, one of these heartbreaking threads every couple years is far far more than enough. Congrats on your 6 months. PLEASE. Keep on fighting. I haven't met you personally but plenty of my friends have and I can safely say this world is a better place with you in it, man.

I met Tim over 10 years ago and have felt so many emotions towards him-hope, sadness, frustration, love, anger. Right now I just feel sad and numb and don't know what to write..

Really tragic. Tim was honest and candid about his feelings and struggles. He is one of the first boardies I met, and my heart has always gone out to him as he has tried to find his way. I hope his family and friends find peace as they cope with their loss. I pray to the entity that I worship that his soul and spirit find the true Peace.

i dont know how well i will express this typing on my phone. Nucka and i fueded at times but we also shared and helped each other through suffering through anxiety and going through mental health reecovery. he was more good than bad. i hope he is writing about the afterrlife and causing trouble in heaven. much love to all who are suffering
