in all honesty, i thought this thread was only about the kotex until i realized it couldn't possibly be, based on who was posting in it! so i have to admit that i haven't even looked through all your fabulous offers yet but will make a point of doing so. and THANK YOU for all your hard work.

many, many years ago i had a late night bicycle accident. my chin was bleeding real bad, and i had no medical insurance. my friend at the time used some pads that she had in place of a first aid kit...it worked great aside from mockery by my friends.
this is what the original use of tampon cotton was made for... tampon / pad cotton was first used to mop up blood of wounded soldiers... WWII maybe? im not sure which war. but some nurse was paying attn, and realized what she could do with them.
