Just wanted to say thank you to whoever recommended that I buy an EMS pack. I posted over six years ago that I was sick of backpacks falling apart after one season, and a few folks said spend the extra money. I'm glad I did, as the main zipper just went this week. I could just replace the zipper, but I figured it's time to upgrade anyway.

is there an EMS guaranteed on the one that the zipper went on?
i was gonna ask the same thing. if so, they'll fix it for free & if they can't they'll usually send you a new pack to replace it (if there's a lifetime guarantee on it). osprey has a lifetime guarantee on their packs. i have a north face that's 15 years old & still kicking

Jansport has the same warranty. Usually though they just replace em. I recommend taking any patches you may have on the bag off before sending to Jansport. Cheaper for em to send ya a new one vs taking the one you send em apart to replace the zipper.
