so for some reason, i have a bunch of unopened, but expired bags of flour in the closet and i just know there has to be something i can do with it. I have two toddlers, so any kid-friendly project ideas anybody?? (other than play-doh cause my experiences making that arent good.) Thanks so much!!!

paper mache ?

rip old news paper, make paste of flour and water, dip news paper - make stuff
let it dry, paint.

apply over balloon , cut in 1/2, make 2 masks


bend coat hangers / light wire to make a frame shaped like person, animal, etc.
wrap with papaer mache - etc.

You can make little stress balls out of it with balloons. Fill the balloons with flour, tie in knot, and voila. Stress ball.

we use to fill sox with flour on halloween and go around smacking each other with them - might not work with todlers:undecided:

here's my grandmother's play doh recipe, maybe this one will work for you

1 c flour
1/2 c salt
2t cream of tartar
1T oil
1c water
food coloring

mix all, heat on med till it pulls away from sides of saucepan
