i get lied to constantly and then get falsely accused of lying
i was supposed to be working in an office... after two days in the office i was doing labor around this guys house and have been ever since
what was agreed upon was 4 or 5 hours a day 4 days a week and became 10 to 12 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week immediately
i was promised all kinds of money before i started and so far i have made less than $3 an hour
i have ruined all the clothes i have and the only pair of shoes i own... it would cost more than i have been paid to replace them
i got woke up this morning an hour before i was supposed to start to get yelled at for something i didn't do and i have been eating shit all morning over something i didn't even do
i am done
i am homeless, jobless and don't have a dime to my name, but it's better than being treated like that

i have been doing everything in my power to steer my life in a positive direction and it's not working

Tell them you have no money, no food and no shelter.
They have to give you some food that day and usually will help you everything else pretty quickly.
Also go to a Catholic Church they will help you. There is a good network of help on Long island.
stay strong....

But...it's nice that he might of overlooked that and still spent the time telling his life story here. 1000+ posts....none that I can think of reading outside of this thread....maybe his posts in this thread will help others?

Jon, you have received more practical advice on here than anyone here could possibly recall. The problem is it's all advice on how to function in society, which may be your issue, not everyone is cut out for social living.
The position of being completely free with essentially nothing to lose is priceless. To squander it is frustrating to watch.
a park bench? jesus man.
hitch a ride to the ADK park. you're in NYC... the supplies available to you are endless. you could make a backpack out of refuse in a few days. collect metal scraps... use your phone to watch vids on youtube on how to make basic fishing lures. learn to live off the land, free. make shelter, fire, prepare for winter. hook up with through hikers on the AT. hang around the ADK lodge to make connections with kids from the student conservation corps. or hitch to VT and do the same thing on the LT.

I say you go with what Andrew said. Garbage back packs and metal scrap fishing lures is all you need.
sarcastic diddy is sarcastic.

Obviously it's not all you need. My point is simply that if you are at the stage of existing on a park bench with nothing to do and nowhere to go it may be time to expand your thinking about how you can live.
I've met people in the backcountry who were basically self-taught in how to live and eat well with no money. Learned to make their own clothes, hunt, fish, got their bodies used to drinking unfiltered water so cryptosporidium and giardia didn't affect them. It was actually pretty impressive to see and personally I find it a cool skillset to be able to live well completely off the grid like that. And is obtainable if you are motivated. It sure as fuck beats homeless shelters, panhandling or sleeping on the street imho.

Its hard to believe that NY wouldn't help you either. I was born and raise in NY and know people who receive assistance currently.
The help IS out there. You just need to be open and receptive to it and conform if you have to.....for survival.
This is my last $0.02 (I'm sure you are relieve at that)
I wish you the best.
