[Lazy Lightning]

I just got back late on Monday from my first fest of the season and it was FANFUCKINGTASTIC!!!

So, so, so much goodness... If other events even measure up to be half as good as last weekend's spectacularness, we are all in for a real treat this year!

Some highlights:


Jen-Jens and I hosted a High Tea Party with silly hats and all the fancy tea fixin's on Saturday afternoon... We had teas, chutney, clotted cream from Devon, shortbread cookies, fresh fruit, chorizo, salmon pate, hummus, crackers, and crisps to share with our guests!




The afternoon's margarita & Orange Party was winding down right next door to the High Tea:




We moved on to champagne when all the tea was finished:




I changed into my evening wear as cocktail hour drew nigh:




And then headed over to Mutant Mo's Last Chance Saloon to DJ a dance-a-thon set:





Yes, we have accepted Jesus into our lives!

Mary Magdalene (yours truly) and Jesus (my friend Bert) invite fellow festival goes to enter the healing waters and receive a blessing on the reality they have chosen, as well as to have obstacles removed from their paths as they continue the journey to being a more whole being... We had them drink red wine from the Juicy Camel Toe (aka the hoofed bottle I'm holding) and then take dessert in the form of a swig of amaretto after they emerged from the water... We even had a total stranger come up and get baptised!




I had the honour of designing the effigy's head:

So yeah, may all of the festies we visit in 2012 be as bright and full of love as this past weekend... Now go forth and PARTY!

We must have very different definities of the term hippie!

There *was* some hippie action, mind... Altho when people started playing the drums around the fire and singing "Fyyyyyyyyyaaaa.... Fyyyyya, fyyyyya, fyyyyyyyya" Mel went over and asked them if their song had any more lyrics!

I'm about to head for my inaugural festival (Summer Camp) in a couple of hours.

It was a pretty spectacular weekend.

Nice that the sunshine came out to play, too. It really felt more like late June/early July.

Real great kick off to the festie season!
