No Ronnie James < Rainbow IMHO

With Ronnie it was like a 5 piece band...without him it was more like a 4 piece with a vocalist... but love the full concert format.

Just a question... did any truely GREAT concerts ever happen in Texas, except maybe ZZ Top or Willie Nelson?

I dug Joe Lynn Turner singing for them in the early '80s. My brother took me to see them when I was like 12. I can't remember the name of the album they were supporting, it was the album they did after Straight Between the Eyes. I just remember being totally pscyhed for the Deep Purple covers!

that would be Bent Out of Shape. I kind of lost it after Down to Earth.... Just was spoiled by my first experiences from early years and Rainbow Live album. This guy sounds better than Graham Bonnet from DtoE...I must say.
