well. I'm home. The interview lasted over 2 hours!!!! The DWI was put out on the table within the first 5 minutes, and apparently it didnt matter, because they didnt stop the interview. They ALso said that the Job was now Full TIME!! And was I OK with it? lol. ummmm Yea!!! I'm soo glad I didn't give up, and went. Thank you guys. Your words truly helped...I'm praying I get it. I feel like I answered all their questions right... And I was asking THEM questions that threw them off.

I hope you get this! I have a friend who has a head injury...he lives in a group home out near you. I hope you get him as a client.

Go for the interview Nikki...also, try to get your record expunged . If this is your first offense you can usually get it wiped out after a certain period of time. Also, look to temporary agencies. Many offer positions which can turn into full-time..good luck.

....I only read your post....so this may be way off...but go on the interview....if you call them then they won't be interviewing the real you...if you don't go on the interview you might pass on others because your confidence will be low...life is a buntch of lessons...seems like you learned from this experience...and it opened your eyes to which many are blind too...during the interview be honest and professional about your license at the moment...good luck.

Glad to hear this went so much better than expected, Nikki! You deserve this. Everyone makes mistakes. But I know you would be an awesome hire. Hopefully after 2 hrs they see that in you too :) :heart:

During the interview, the woman told me She took some of the staff out to the Diner to have their weekly staff meeting. I LOVE 'for-profit'. lol.

good luck. I don't know if this will help you or not, but I had a buddy NOT tell them about his dwi, get an offer, quit his job in Vegas in order to move to new job in TX only to be told he is not getting the job bc of the dwi (they somehow found out on their own.) I'm not trying to make you nervous, I'm just saying, sometimes honesty is a good policy like you said to save everyone's time. Really a toss up there. If it were me, I'd keep it hush and hope it didn't come up if it wasn't imperent in the job description that you need a clean driving record. In any case, I wish you the best of luck. I was out of work since Jan too, and am 2 weeks into my new job which is going really well. Feels good to be employed again

I truly believe a positive attitude is magical.

Still, I find myself falling into negativity... it's probably natural.

And, you get used to being a "criminal" after a while.

Be glad you don't have a felony. You can still vote and own a gun.

A law passed 2 months before I was arrested that EVERYONE who gets a DWI, MUST have an ignition interlock device in their car as part of the probabion. New York's consequenses are very harsh. :cry:


As they should be. It *is* a serious offense.

That said, I hope it does not get in the way of your scoring this gig! :heart:
