So if anyone has a pair of tickets that they would be willing to sell for less than gate price, please let me know. I'm heading off to work soon, and will check the board tonight when I get home.

Off topic but I'm wondering why the guy who runs Wormtown/Strangecreek doesn't invest a minute of his life of the forums or even Facebook. How fucking hard is it to get out of the 1960's and talk to your money source where they talk? The Wormtown forums are an excellent example, another is the false rumor of $100 entrance fees for Thursday. Heck, even hire someone like Teo or the other admins here since the owner of this joint feels the same about social media. Not a slam about people that run really good events without being "out there" for their fans.....rather an observation about how some people need to step up their game in my opinion. Prolly sure this might get deleted but hopefully my message is heard before it does. If your fan base is in a strip club your time at church talking will not be heard by your fan base......

Strange Creek has been getting more and more packed and bigger and bigger every year without the social media... Mark and crew have done a great job of spreading word of this festival year after year just through more conventional means. My feeling is I don't think they want this festival to get much bigger than it is because there is a certain charm and appeal to not having 25,000 people come (plus this venue could never handle that many people), I could be wrong but I think that's why you don't necessarily see them going out of their way to attract even more people than already make this a regular event for themselves. I think the answers get out there eventually anyway, just my $.02

Jwheelz, I sort of know and the fact that they can do so well doing it 1930's style is just upsetting. I fell in love with Wormtown last year, compared to Vibes it really was perfect. I can't knock a single thing about the venue, the staff or my experience. It's just upsetting in my little mind that something so good can do so well ignoring their fan base. Other than the stumps I can't think of a single thing to complain about and heck I don't want it to blow up and be a larger event. I would pay 2-3 times what Vibes charges for the experience....maybe more.....just pissed at the concept of people running events without a social media presence I guess.

yeah, I see what you're saying... I think some people are still just wary of the social media thing, or don't see how using it could benefit them... there is a pretty big group around strange creek on Facebook, but I know it's not quite the same as having an official presence on there
Good point....take FB and the rumor about the $100 on Thursday. How long did the owner take to respond(still waiting)....a rhetorical (sp) question. Another thingy, I've been waiting for a week or for for them to accept me as a friend........should be a fan page.....should have paid staff watching the page. Still, I'm just busting balls out of boredom.

cassady would be one of those administrator type people not sure how long he's been here but I'm willing to wager it's been a while
Lol, I assumed that, but I have never seen him/her around so I made my intro so he/she can avoid me if needed at the festivals. Seems to be a bunch of admins but I can count on one hand how many are active here. Granted, I've only been here a year and this site goes back years....
