hey boardies! one of the food vendors is suddenly a bit short on staff for the Mighty High this weekend (Tuxedo, NY) and could use a few extra workers. the owner of the vending co. is a good friend i've worked with many times in the past (and will be working with again this year) and a good dude.

if you're on the fence about attending due to finances and are comfortable working food service (working the counter, assisting with hospitality or prep) let me know...maybe we can help each other out! definitely looking for folks i know and can vouch for, but if someone i know well will vouch for you, that might work too. i just want to make sure i'd enjoy working next to you myself...after all, working festivals can and should be lots of fun

in exchange for your time, you'll receive a weekend pass and, if your hourly commitment qualifies, cash compensation as well. we can work all that out but def let me know asap if you are interested. shoot me a private message or just respond below and i'll message you.

I have a 14 hour shift on saturday and only 10 hours of sick time left. Worst job ever.

I've always imagined it would be fun to work food vending at a festival, maybe wear one of those stylish beard nets. One day!

it's really is SO much fun. i've done many festivals over the years (started in '96 vending the Equinox Fest and just got hooked!) and i usually manage to have more fun at the festivals i'm working than the ones where i just do my own thing. especially working hospitality like i do at Mighty High. it's a blast taking care of the folks who work so hard to show us a good time

I would have been there, the layout is no problem for me from the descriptions I've gotten, it's just that the planning didn't work out with my helper guy... I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be very helpful for a food vendor though, or any vendor for that matter... I could be a pretty good carnival barker... "step right up! get your food here! Etc."

the funny thing is, working hospitality IS a lot like being a carnival barker and that's exactly the job i had in mind for you last year i bounced between setting up/prepping/cooking/refilling items on the hospitality buffet and just standing there describing the items on offer, their ingredients, what is vegetarian, what is gluten free, etc. it worked out, but i could definitely have used a dedicated partner.

if you decide to come next year let's talk about it sooner! and this year i'll take a better look around with you in mind
