The only thing I'm trying to get people to believe is the truth. I'm not the one making excuses for the lies we've been fed

Same here. that gets met with a lot of hostility, though.

And capt. I didn't ask you any questions. i laid down a host of broken promises from the president. You responded with excuses from being a sucker to irrelevancy. So in that regard, it's all irrelevant.

No, what you're doing is making excuses for his lies. My purpose here is to try to point out those lies so others know what to expect when he promises to do something.

It's hard to really say since I was only born during the Carter era.

I do know that this political trash talking has been going on forever, and you should only take it with a grain of salt.

you do realize that if you don't vote for Obama, the terrorists win. (same retarded logic that got GWB elected a second term... he starts a war so we better keep him)

I have a feeling that low voter turnout and useless third party votes is exactly what the Repubs want.

That's why they intentionally confuse everyone until they're too disgusted to pay attention any more.

I'm not worried about it though, because I'm pretty confident that Mitt Romney will lose. Ron Paul is already gone so Mission (almost) Accomplished.

I wish I didn't have to go about these things by process of elimination, but hey you gotta do what you gotta do.

I'm not really sure, but after what GWB put us through for all those years, I'm grateful to have some sort of closure. Remember all the red and orange and yellow alerts we were having every few months and especially around election time. Aren't you grateful that we don't have to deal with that nonsense any more? The country is back on the right path, sick things don't just always heal right away... he's trying to undo 30 years worth of damage.

if Republicans keep effing things up, things WILL continue on the hamster wheel and never change... but that's exactly what they want!

So they're both backed by corporations... but who said all corporations were bad? I didn't. Some definitely are, but I don't know what every single corporation does.

The last thing we want in the Whitehouse is another businessman like George Bush.

Lawyers seem to make pretty good Presidents. At least they're intelligent.

I don't even know if George W. Bush meant any harm anymore... I believe Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, and the rest of that evil clan were really calling the shots. I think he was just stupid, and they used him to do their bidding.

All those same clowns will probably be back if Mitt Romney gets in.

amber alert is a missing child

And yeah, a lot is still the same, but a lot really has changed. It's gradual. Even when they do pass laws, those laws don't take effect right away... give it a chance.

You know, Clinton really wasn't that bad. Remember that bullshit the GOP pulled on him?

Why weren't Republicans worried about wasting money then?

Good ol Newt...

I think that we should do whatever we need to at all costs to keep those guys out.

America has a short memory, but this just happened.

I'd like to know what everyone thinks Obama is spending money on... because he's not, in reality.

Social programs are not what put this country into debt. WAR is. Then to combine a war with tax-cuts... they knew what they were doing.

I don't know. Is everyone really this stupid to think helping the poor is what will kill this country?

The rich like it when there are a lot of unemployed people because then they can work their employees harder and pay them less.

it's the end of combat over there. You can't just pull the plug on something that big while it's still in motion and have it shut down immediately. Again, gradual, not radical. First you slow down and then you stop. If you stop immediately you get thrown out the window.

They're sending in fresh troops because the ones there had been there long enough. We have troops all over the world.

I don't care if we have troops over in Iraq if they aren't fighting. Not fighting is better than fighting, and we're not spending as much money, either. It's a change in the right direction - Forward.

actually, that is the troof... because none of us live in states where it really matters... I was just goofin... you know the terrorists win... figured it'd be good for a laugh. Didn't they say this about John Kerry? (Not that it was funny, it sucked since it seemed to work for them at the time)

Oh and another thing, I read up on the NSA... it's been around since 1952 and it isn't anything new

1. How and when was the National Security Agency Established?

NSA was established on November 4, 1952, by order of President Harry Truman. This decision followed the Nation's important work in breaking German and Japanese codes during WWII, which contributed to Allied success against the German U-Boat threat in the North Atlantic and victory at the Battle of Midway in the Pacific, and other contributions. President Truman's decision to establish NSA followed several studies on how best to continue this codebreaking work in the post-war era.

http://www.nsa.gov/a...about_nsa.shtml

The NSA was the predecessor of the Armed Forces Security Agency (AFSA), created on May 20, 1949.
