Thank you Family Leave Act!!! My wife is going back to work on Monday, and I will be staying home with my 6 month old, Matthew. Where's my heady play dates?? I will also keep my 4 year old home from daycare a couple days a week... Mr. Mom!!! Whooop!!

Sweet. 6 weeks is a long ass time. Not familiar with F.L.A. - You get to collect unemployment?
It's called the "family medical leave act" you can get up to 12 weeks UNPAID leave per year upon the birth or adoption of a child, in case you are sick, or if an immediate family member is sick and you have to take time off to take care of them. If Mr. Boland is getting paid that's awesome, but that's from his company, not from the govmn't...it's an unpaid leave, the company is required to keep covering your health insurance and keep your job (or a job of equivalent rank and responsibilities) open for you, but not required to pay you (but some do anyway)
Also you are only eligible for it if you have worked for an employer of at least 50 people for at least 1 years.

a new task for me today... both kids home... it's friday, it's nice outside... so i am keeping my 4 year old home(actually not 4 till next month)... first 2 hours were smooth.. both kids ate, pooped.. and i am having coffee while the older one is playing with his little brother.. gonna take them outside after lunch... gonna be tough with this nice weather and no beer... happy hour doesn't start till 6:30 when Mrs. Occifer Boland arrives home

end of week 2 as Mr. Mom..(mrs. occifer boland staying home from work tomorrow).. i have to say, i give all of you single and/or stay at home parents so much credit.. this has been challenging, at times.. especially when i have both kids.. i find it hard to get things done... at the same time, i am enjoying every minute of it.

Middle of week 3... and it's been challenging... i tried to be a hero on memorial day and show my kids the football star i was 17 years ago... i guess age and weight caught up with me.. and i busted my butt and fractured my wrist.... most of my daddy duties are still running smoothly... but trying to change a diaper with one hand is a rough task... but through the pain, i still enjoy every minute with Matthew... my sister in law came to help me yesterday.. but left after 3 hours.. i was kinda pissed.. cause she is unemployed and just watches movies all day.. anyway.. doctor says i'll be good in 6 weeks.. just in time for Vibes!!!!
