imo, 5/8/77 and 5/9/77 combined, created a continuum of energy through all four sets. while 5/8 is often proclaimed to be the best from '77, or the best show ever, or what have you, i think it's half of 4 incredible sets of gd music.

The Boston show on 5/7 was OK too.

Comes a Time from this show is incredible... And these shows are 35 years old and the sound is better than what you hear today.. The GD were way of ahead of their time with the sound...

they didn't. i saw some spectacular shows in the '80's.

Yeah... Alls I know is I had a lot of fun and saw a bunch of good show's in the 80's and 90's...

Even fall '90 after Brent passes there are some good shows. Hornsby was there to light the fire under Jerry. It doesn't really start to go downhill all way until after Bruce leaves and Vince is all alone on keys. Without anyone else in the band able to throw the solo to, once Jerry finished a solo, all that was goin on the stage was everyone else playing rhythm.
