Seems a little random whether or not the board thinks I'm logged in, though whenever it thinks I'm not, reloading whichever page I'm on makes me show as logged in again.

Using Firefox 12.0 if that matters...

what the? i cannot reply to vibes regulars thread at all...been loggin me out too! also, when i go to type in the text box it randomly gives me bold, italic, underlined and now the strike through.

I have such a huge list of board technical problems now that I have to use 2 different browsers for different functions and even then I can't quote anyone or use the smilies without generating an error most of the time.

Let me know when tech support gets back from lunch!

Firefox 12.0 on Mac OS 10.6.8 seems to be most problematic.

As I said, I'm using Chrome... and if I completely closeg a session, I always need to log back in again.

I just tried this IPS forum suggestion to clear cookies.

In Chrome:
tools/clear browsing data/Obliterate the following items from: " the beginning of time" and clicked on all the fields

Now if I completely close Chrome, and open a new session it does not make me log back into VIBEs Forum... or Facebook!

I don't know if this will work with other browsers, but it's worth a try.

OK... the clear all cookies experiment has worked for me on both CHROME and MOZILLA.

In the last few hours, even hibernated my laptop and changed locations.

So far it has not logged me out of either .

I've been noticing that going into certain forums will log me out while there doesn't seem to be a problem using the family & vibes forums (among others).

Over 24hrs logged in since I cleared all cookies.

I suspended/hibernated my laptop 2 times, and rebooted it 2 times... MOZILLA and CHROME still have made me log back in here.

Before I it seemed that it would randomly "time out" and if I closed the browers, I was logged out each time.

I'm finding it occurs mostly when I access multiple pages. Like if i open the emoticon window it almost always happens.

Lol, it just happened to me. I was logged in and posting and then when I went to post in the RV area it said I couldn't. At first I was offended that I could not offer a tip to a person looking for an RV.....thought it was a secret read only area....and then saw I was logged out.

Just try clearing all of your browse cookies. It's still working for me... no logouts since before I did it yesterday.

If the forum gets updated and you have out of date/old cookies it causes logout issues. I had that happening all the time and now it's OK.

Try it.

I don't think I was being clear... I actually did find info saying that was a fix for the logging out problems for these IPS forums.
It's even helped with keeping me logged into FB and my email accounts.
One forum I use never logs me out even if I'm not on for weeks... I don't know if that's a good thing.

I have been using IE 9 and have very few issues with it.

i have tried several different browsers
i always clear my cookies
i went for months without knowing what you guys were talking about (it never happened to me )
then, all the sudden it was logging me out every time i freaking refreshed a page
then
*poof* it will stop doing it

Went through a stint but seems to be better now. When i open a pm I always have to login. Everytime.
