i think Railroad Earth carries the spirit of The Band more than any other act. Their festival sets are must-see affairs. I've forget my first RRE experience at Grey Fox in 2001. Amazing and it was only their 5th or 6th show.

They got signed to play Telluride Bluegrass. High Sierra, and Grey Fox Bluegrass based on a 6 song demo. Who does that?
