Tomorrow night: $5 cover, live music by Keltic Kick, drink specials and raffle to support this cute little girl!
Here's a brief synopsis from her mom, Kate:
"When our beautiful daughter Emily was born, it was discovered her right leg was significantly shorter than her left. Diagnosed with a rare condition called Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency, she was not given many options. She could go through a series of painful leg lengthenings, or we could amputate.
Fortunately, we found a doctor in West Palm Beach, Florida who has made limb lengthening his life’s work. Dr. Dror Paley examined Emily, looked us in the eye and said, 'I will get your daughter’s legs to equal length.'
"To allow Dr. Paley to work his miracles, we will have to make multiple trips to Florida over the next ten years, with some stays lasting as long as four months. The road will be long and difficult, but we have been blessed with family and friends who have been more than willing to try and ease the burden.
Thank you for coming tonight to help make this journey just a little bit easier. If you’re interested, we are also selling 'superhip' t-shirts (the name of the first surgery she had this past summer) to raise money for the all the future surgeries, check-ups and physical therapy."
Feel free to follow Emily’s progress at www.timtredwell.blogspot.com.
