which part of brooklyn?

the show's at 12Spot, 12 Hinsdale St. right where the Jackie Robinson Pkwy ends. L train to Atlantic Ave, or LIRR to East New York (both stops 2 blocks from the spot)

I'll probably be at Toubab Krewe at Brooklyn Bowl.

if you're not busy during the early afternoon, consider dropping by the above-mentioned party.

torta = "sandal" = sandwich (tortas are usually shaped like footwear, hence the sandal thing)

so i'm guessing a softbread sandwich filled with the usual Cuban goodness? a few types of pig meat, pickles/relish/peppers, perhaps cheeses perhaps not, and all the usual seasonings. correct?

Going to J.B. Scotts (old night club) reunion in Albany...with many bands from the late 70's -80's.

If you were ever in the original Central Ave location you could have seen U2, Pretenders, Captain Beefheart, NY Dolls, The Specials...Todd RUndgren, not to mention local faves who will be playing... Fear of Strangers, Blotto and many more.

Must practice the pogo!

Nothing like the traditional "Cuban Sandwich", a Torta Cubana is basically every torta they offer, made into one gigantic sandwich. Slices of smoked pork leg, ham, the milanesa, and salchichas, get topped with Mexican cheese, avocado, black beans, tomato, onions and their special "Casita Chilanga Aoli", which is essentially a chipotle mayo.

Mary fell in love (after the fact) with Fear of Strangers through their album I burned to cd...
man the days at JB's and at the chateau...
I barely recall Val saying to my friend one night (looking at me) I want what he's on, lol :java alive:

Mostly going to hear them, and to laugh along with Blotto. And must pay respects to Ernie.
I probably need a punk likie DHJ to help me through the Last Conspirators... but we'll see.

it WAS going to be at the Hanger warehouse up off the Gowanus between the Verazanno and Battery Tunnel. they moved it for safety's sake. this is pretty much the heart of Brooklyn proper. where are you, out of curiosity?

because you wrote one in setlist style, i'll do likewise:

sleep > coffee > drive to brooklyn > gig > drive to chinatown > gluttony > drive to brooklyn > party > drive home > sleep.

:Phishfolk:

all that's missing is a baseball game.

I got an invite to a party but it's a long drive. These two girls I like moved in to a new place. I'd like to go ....that girl is going, if I could show up with her crowd I might think about it ...I won't know many people.
