New York Funk Exchange returns to Acoustic Cafe!

The New York Funk Exchange or NYFE, is a 9 piece FUNK PHENOM hailing from Brooklyn, New York. Since forming in 2007, the NYFE has played more than 200 live

shows all over the East Coast, sharing the stage with artists like Fred Wesley & the New JB's, Galactic, Topaz, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Martha and the Vandella's, Eddie

Money and many more. Their sound, a body shaking mix of old school funk, jazz, soul, and R&B can be heard on their 2009 debut album , The Funkonomic Stimulus Plan,

which features the soul stylings of legendary bassist Christian McBride. While maintaining a hectic touring schedule, the band is also in the studio, preparing for the much

anticipated release of it's latest album "Go Big Or Go Home" expected in summer 2012. In 2009 NYFE was selected as a Sonic Bid’s performer at Camp Bisco 8.
