Well said...Pete was a Long Island lad, I met him when he first started at WNEW FM, he was a good guy. Can't believe he's gone.Pete, along with Rosko, Alison Steele, Scott Muni, and Dave Herman had a supreme impact on the music NYC heard in the late 60's early 70's.

The landscape of NYC Radio will never be the same. My condolences to Pete's friends and family, the entire WFUV staff (of which I have been a volunteer). I have to say that all the Radio work I have done over the years, and even my simple enjoyment of new and traditional music for 5 decades, owes a deep debt of gratitude to Pete.
RIP Pete Fornatale.
