Anyone have any great ideas on getting rid of poison ivy plants? We apparently have quite a few of them.

Spray your kids down with plant killer and have them roll around in it

You're gonna need an ocean
Of calomine lotion
You'll be scratching like a hound
The minute you start to mess around
Poison Ivy, Poison Ivy
Late at night while you're sleeping
Poison Ivy comes a-creeping around

If you're into really nasty chemicals, this is quite effective.

I would go this way and i dont do chemicals.

If your allergic badly you can breathe it in and get poision ivy on the inside in your lungs and airway.
Took care of a man who spent 8 days last year on life support from ripping this stuff out.

He didnt think he was allergic and didnt wear a mask.

Just get the roundup and use it.
Look for the hidden imature ones.

my husband is super allergic so we have no choice but to use the chemicals, and it was the only thing that worked. We used it for 2 years in a row and after that it was gone forever.

I'm with Tony on this. I'd spray the crap out of it with round up, wait for it to die a miserable death than rip it out carefully with the proper attire. Also, do not save or wash the clothes you wear! Throw them away! A friend got it months later from the gloves she accidentally saved.

who isn't into really nasty chemicals? I love spraying them right into my kids faces! My pets too. You gotta toughen them up somehow.

check the label, it might. or, you can be careful and use shields (piece of cardboard) to protect anything you want saved.

Don't know about everything, but they're genetically engineering food crops to be resistant to it.

That may work, but the stuff still seeps down in the soil and will kill nearby roots.

What is France doing wasting human cells on weed killer? An idiot knows if you drink it , it will kill you..... They'll prove this theory when they spray the fema detention camps...

:lmao:

I'd go with the chemical solution, too. I'm not into using herbi/pesticides, but wouldn't wanna mess around with poison ivy.

My main reason for not using RoundUp is that I don't trust that it's safe for people or other organisms. A close second is that if evil exists, the company which makes it is near the top of the list...
