Why haven't YOU been posting as much lately? (Questionable Content)

With the new board came what seemed to be a slowing of things here...
Maybe it's what the Fucks at the League Office wanted.
I was listening to some DU and Dinosaur Jr. and such last night and was going to start a video thread but chickened out. Hell you and I are the only two who usually post in them anyway.

Something changed. Less show roll calls, seems like less overall interest in music altogether. Was there a backlash over something?
I notice that people are just less interactive in general.

seems its easier to do roll calls and shit there than here
even HQ does its announcements there first then maybe here, but usually an active boardie who does FB and the boards lets us non-FBers know...
i am kinda offended by that, myself...
we were here loooooong before lookatmyFacebook
oh well, signs of the times
oh, and this board isnt as 'friendly'
i feel alone all the time cuz the "who is online" feature always just says me
no one wants to hang out talking in an empty room
if someone could fix that feature, i would love it
cuz i KNOW its not only me online all the time
but when i asked about it in the message board thread i was told i was mistaken
but since its not only me noticing it, perhaps i wasnt?
anyway
its different now

there are definitely a bunch of boardies who usually had something interstesting or funny to say that don't come around here anymore...that sucks too

Why maybe?
1. Busy with work
2. Busy with family
3. long timers gone (I started coming here in 99, not many of us left, and YES it was diffferent then)
4. Majority of thread topics not doing it for me
5. Whats left feels anti-septic
Why I do come back occassionaly...
1. still care deeply for some of the folks here
2. Facebook can kiss my ass.

I'm also not a huge fan of the new board layout. But besides that, and not having the free time to post, a lot of the topics discussed these days just don't interest me.
As previously mentioned in the the thread though, I'm sure my interest will pick up as we get closer to the festival.

It's been slow for years...
Boardies on the whole seemed to be doing a lot more things when I fist joined here. There were BBQ's, gatherings, and interactions between bpardies in many different threads. Something changed. Less show roll calls, seems like less overall interest in music altogether. Was there a backlash over something? I notice that people are just less interactive in general.
I think "that crowd" just grew out of it. That, and Facebook.
Keep the political threads in this forum and activity will pick up. Myself, the last year or so has been incredibly busy with a new house and holding down a couple of jobs. The board ain't what it used to be, that's for sure.
Ain't that the truth!
been busier than usual at work the last few weeks/months. it does seem slower around here, but i'm sure i contribute to that a lil bit...anytime i think to start a thread or post something i'm like, ah fuck it no one cares anyway
there are definitely a bunch of boardies who usually had something interstesting or funny to say that don't come around here anymore...that sucks too
Remember when Nicole would start 10,000 threads a day? Not anymore.
Remember when L&S was more popular than the Family board? That stopped at least six or seven years ago.
oh and DHJ sucks
Now we're getting to the bottom of it....
For me, I've started my "career" since joining back in 2004. I have a demanding job that occupies at least 10 hours of my day, often six days a week. My free time is spent with my girlfriend or running/cycling. A big part of it is that I'm disinterested in a lot of new music that's out there, and spend less time going to shows and seeking out new music to listen to. There are a lot less people here, far less people I "know in real life", and less boardie gatherings overall.
