Could you give us some insight at some point before the festival as to what the shuttle schedule will look like for the festival from the hotels? I remember spending a solid hour waiting for one in '10 and I'd like to know their frequency before I decide whether or not I'm going to shell $20 out for a shuttle pass this year or commute each day

Hey Tommacco - We have been working hard to iron out problems from 2010 and had a great reduction in issues for 2011. Still there is always room for improvement. Last years schedule for hotels was every 30-60 minutes, (with few exceptions) I'd expect that to be relatively the same for this year. Day lot shuttles are closer to 20 mins between pick ups.

sweet... the only thing you can really do to improve 30/60 minute cycles is to pop some gps chips on the buses and let us track arrivals in real time via web/mobile apps

they ran 9am- 4am last year. I imagine they will be close to the same this year.

I don't think we waited more than 20 minutes last year and we went back and forth a couple of times each day because of that damn heat.

Agreed, The shuttle service last year was a HUGE improvement over 2010. The biggest issue we had was late night. It seems the guys outside the gate "directing" needed some direction themselves. On more than one occasion it was "Go up to that line", then "get over in this one instead" or, "we need you in that line". In the meantime, the bus we SHOULD have been on has filled up!
I know they were trying really hard to get it right but they needed a better plan~

Here's my question......I have camping tickets and plan on arriving Thursday morning to get in and set up for the weekend. I also have hotel reservations and understand the bus passes are being sold at the hotel. Is there anyway to pick up bus passes at the Vibes as I assume my car will be parked where I am camping for the weekend and I will not be able to drive to the hotel? If not, will cars parked by folks camping have the ability to get in and out?

We stayed at the HI, didn't have a pass and don't remember anyone checking for one. I believe once you take the car out you can't bring it back to that spot (think you go to a day parking area)

We are working on a plan to sell bus passes at the northgrove box office.... but if not they will let you ride to the hotel without a pass, but you will have to get one to get back on for the return trip.
