I've been working relief at this group home for about two years now, and one of the guys has never so much as uttered a word to me, ever. When I give him his meds I talk to him as if he were going to answer, but he usually looks at the ground and might give a nod to answer a question. This morning he came to the med room and asked if I was working the double shift. I replied yes, and he said, "Cool." I suppose it doesn't sound like much, but it is to me.
