Massachusetts-based Terrafugia Inc. has designed a street-legal flying car that will enable users to cruise straight from the runway to the garage - and it is actually available for purchase this year! Terrafugia will show off the unique vehicle, which is known as the Transition, this week at the New York Auto Show, and when it hits the market, the vehicle is expected to sell for $279,000. So far about 100 people have put down a $10,000 deposit to buy one.

i guess it would be FUI or FOI (Flying Over Influence)? , although you don't really see planes getting pulled over very often, do ya?

I bet they have great insurance deals on those really safe seeming things.

That's still an airplane...not really a flying car. Flying cars do not have fixed wings.

Yeah , but THAT is WAY cooler - the other thing looks like mom's volvo with wings !

Although if my my mom did drive, she would prolly drive a subaru, and come to think of it , it does look more like a sube, and that was about the angle we were used to seeing her come up the driveway, before we took her keys away...hmmm....i wonder if she's willing to give us a lift this July....
