Yawn.

That certainly applies to today's misguided belief that economics is a hard science. It does not fit the model that economics is a social science and human action can not be quantified. Predicting piss pour attempts at hard science in the field become rather easy though.

Dude - you seriously need to take a chill pill. It's beautiful day out there. Take a mental brake and just enjoy life for what it is for a moment

If people would learn to do what I tell them then predicting would be very much simplified.

Well, that is kinda how the predictions that are accurate work. By seeing the unseen consequences of poor central planning.

In a truly freed market and eocnomic atmosphere, predicting things becomes much more difficult. it also leads to far less cascading inter-market downturns that a re much shorter lived.

At any rate, it's a good picture that captures the essence of todays economic mentality, sans those that can have and keep predicting thing accurately.

no one is really claiming that they can predict anything.

If they do, then they're lying.

It's really just a guessing game based on statistics and probability.

Unless the deck is stacked.

that's true... and it probably is, but like the old saying goes, those who know won't say, and those who say don't know.
