since Friday 4am. Mutual aid needed to be called in from the volunteer depts. from surrounding communities.

Limited info. At least one was a residence, no reports of injury so far. Mayor and the city are offering a $5000 reward for info. Multiple law enforcement agencies are "present" within the city.

WTF is wrong with some people?

Looking at the Daily Disappointment website...not seeing anything besides a garage fire.

$5000? Wow, could Miller and company spare it?

Let the fucking town burn...I say. (Except for your place)

Story Updated: Apr 14, 2012 at 10:57 AM EDT
ONEONTA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Five separate fires in Oneonta within a 12 hour period destroys six buildings, and damages two others and now has fire investigators, not only from Oneonta, but also Otsego County and New York State looking into the cause of each fire and whether they're related.

Oneonta Fire Department Public Information Officer Al Lutz tells News Channel Two that the first fire destroyed three homes, the second destroyed a business, and the third fire destroyed two more homes.

The first fire broke out around 4:30 Friday afternoon at a home on Eighth Street. Lutz says the flames quickly spread to two adjacent homes.

The second call came in at 1:25 Saturday morning at a law office on Deitz Street. That building was destroyed as well, and as firefighters were leaving that scene around 3:30 Saturday morning, another fully engulfed fire was called in on Fair Street, which not only destroyed that home, but also damaged an adjacent structure.

Two other minor fires were reported as well, but the damage was not severe.

We're told investigators will be working much of the morning today to try and determine the cause of each fire and whether any or all of these fires were intentionally set.

If any are determined to be intentionally set, Oneonta Mayor Dick Miller says the City of Oneonta will offer a $5000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

If you have any information on any of these fires, you are asked to call Oneonta Police at (607) 432-1111.

Pathetic that the Utica TV station has the story and the hometown newspaper has nothing...and the fire was practically next door.

So who did the law office belong to? Armelli? Crazy Bill? The DA??

Not sure of the attorneys still at Dietz St. Probably Otto, public defenders live a harsh life.

If I am correct on who you mean by "Crazy Bill" he hasn't been on Dietz in years.

One of my nieces went with me to court once and Bill was acting like himself, reading a bulletin board or something, not paying attention. The judge said somehting to me, Bill whirled around "You are full of shit your honor and you know it" and the rant began.

Thought my niece was going to wet her pants.
