Folks,
On Earth Day (April22nd?), I took a walk up 5TH Avenue from Washington Square Park after busking4freedom there. My stroll included singing Dylan's
Desolation ROW (It's amazing what you can do as far as 'acting out' when you've got a guitar gig bag on your back like a pack), between 18th & 23rd Streets. Each time I finished a verse (10 of 'em, if you are not familiar with the song), I announced in the same pitched acapello voice that Desolation ROW was simply another name for 5th Avenue. (Don't kid yourselves, KIDS, just because it's POSH & air-conditioned doesn't mean there's a lot of quiet despairation...)
IT was SUCH great fun...
So, here's the thing. I'm thinking of visiting again sometime between now and the end of JUNE. This time, I'll walk all the way from 8th street to Central Park, then across the park diagonally to Strawberry Fields...PM me if you want to make this a photo depicted group event (video cam, anybody?) that will not soon be matched...

Well, it's MARCH, and I may be able to be in NYC on earth day again this year to celebrate the anniversary of last year's event...IF some peeps can get it together, we can stroll along & somebody or severla some few folks can trade off taking pics as we pass various 'famous' intersections, any takers? IF I get five folks, we're on...
