DL is not kang'd yet. Adam Rubin reports Pelf has elbow swelling, going for MRI, will miss next start. Robert Carson headed up now.

I'm having a hard enough time looking at Reyes in a Miami uniform, now the annual conga line to the DL has to start. :(

that was a big win, as it ensures yet another series victory against NL East rivals, and ensures they'll be over .500 heading back out on the road, no matter the result today.

now nice is is that the Mets are winning a series against the Marlins? i'm pretty pissed not to have the boys at the game today, but i'm starting to think that maybe Jose Reyes was the jinx against the Fish.

that was nice of the official scorer to give Nieuwenheis a 3B on his lead-off AB. good on Tejada to get him home, as well.

1-1 after 4 innings...another one of these games between the two clubs. sheesh.

assuming the Mets can hold 'em off in the top of the inning, we're looking at Wright - Duda - Ike to try and get one to win, two to tie in the bottom of the 9th. let's see how it goes.

So it seems the MO for the team this year is if they're playing well, we have what looks like a real team. But, when they're game is off...it's like the Bad News Bears out there.

Gotta be the first game in baseball history where a team scored nine runes, someone hits for the cycle, and they still lose by 9! :lol:

Good thing a bad game only counts once.
