Well, that was an ugly pair of games in Atlanta. Let's hope the home stand is better. Meanwhile, let's remember when Ralph was taking this hot little number to Kiner's VIP Korner.

negative. Seaver bobbleheads are so retro. when they pull out the stops for "Andres Torres Bobblecalf Night" with torn muscle motion (sponsored by HIP Medical Group), i'm there.

Didn't have plans to. And I don't think anyone will be going if the current weather report holds.

Phillip Humber has had a non career w/now one special game in it. We sign 'em in '04. He needs Tommy John surgery in '05, is traded to The Twins '08, designated for assignment in '09, signs minor league deal w/the Royals winter '09, gets put out on the waiver wire winter '10 and is claimed first by the A's, who put 'em back on waivers and is then picked up by The Twins. He doesn't play a full season in the majors until 2011...at age 28. Not quite the career The Mets expected from their '04 1st round (w/a $3.7 mil signing bonus) draft pick.

I'll take what we've gotten from of Johan, who is who we acquired when we traded away Humber, over having a perfect game on the record books any day.

double dip today. statistically, there's about a 75% chance the teams will split 'em. the Mets spit on statistics, however, and i'm sure will make one if not both unbearable.

until they lose, i'm pulling for a twi-night sweep!

very small chance of light showers early, clearing as the day progresses. they're playing ball. no way they're going to push this one off and make SF travel back to NY to play 2 on an off day later in the season.

of course, with the dampness, wind, and cool ambient temperatures this evening, i imaging there will be a raging 7,000 walking through the gates. lousy work, i'd totally buy $12 seats for this one, er two.

seaver bobblehead, schmobblehead. $12 ticket, sneak in a few sammiches, and maybe have a couple of dunkin donuts coffees at the game = cheap night out, 6 hours of entertainment.

Shame I've already got plans for dinner tonight, else I might have seen about getting out of work an hour early to catch these games at those prices.

Bet it's gonna be cold at the park tonight though.

dinner plans can already be changed, unless it's on your child's birthday...in which case you take her/him to the game, anyway.

and i already covered the cold aspect of today's double dip with the purchase of two dunkin donuts coffees at the game.

This would be the night to go, but it's not happening for me either. Think about it: even if you only went to the first game, you could take the subway over to Brooklyn Bowl to see Kung Fu with Barber sitting in.

Or you could stay for the nightcap.

Damn it, I want to go.

Besides, I see you're not going either so your namecalling is invalid. Wimp.

I am going with Gram-Man optomism with Ike.

He missed almost a whole season (4 months). It is going to take him time to get into his rythem.

Although, this is the Met team I expected and predicted.
