New York Mets

i realize this is the B-Mets, and that Reyes is probably out for the season or something like that, but are they EVER gonna score more than one run for Johan?
Reyes is NOT out for the season. He'll be back in the lineup by the weekend.
Where the hell are you getting your information?? He has a sore/tight back, that's it. He asked for an extra day off because he wasn't comfortable and he's getting re-evaluated today. Don't make an issue out of something that isn't.
this is how it always starts. "we're just holding him out as a precaution - he really wants to play!" becomes "we're not gonna take any chances, so the 15-day DL seems like the smart move" becomes "season-ending 36-hour microsurgery this morning...timetable for return sometime in 2013."
and you've ALL been around long enough to know i'm right.
He's getting re-evaluated today and then we'll know what's going on. I'm not going to write off the rest of his season based on tightness in his lower back. Hell, I get tightness in my lower back, I'm nowhere near in as good shape as your average MLB player, and it hasn't taken me out yet!
Reyes scratched.
Again?? Fuck.
...and the Mets lose without scoring any runs, because they don't score runs when Reyes isn't healthy.

Cordero was one of the biggest pests the Mets dealt with in the middle of the last decade. He saved 13 games in 14 opportunities against them (92.9 save percentage ranks fifth against the Mets all-time) didn't allow a run against them in his first 12 2/3 innings, and didn't allow an earned run against them in his first 18 2/3 innings.
yeah, well, whatever. Omar must go, and unless the bats wake up by the end of this road skid, er, trip, Jerry must go, as well.

i heard the other day that some GMs are saying that Omar may never be able to make a trade in the MLB again. he expects other teams to take a $5, and send back $10. sure it's got to do with the lack of depth in the minors, but I've always thought he's a bit of a fantasy baseball player in that regard.

Easy there, partner.and Manuel, and the training staff, and the pitching coach, and the hitting coach, and Jason Bay, and Frenchy, and krod, and Ollie, and.....
I wouldn't want anybody but Frenchy in right field, even though we might as well concede the out when he bats just to move the game along. What they need is a left fielder who can hit.
And a couple of starting pitchers.
And a couple of middle relievers.
And a closer.
And a manager who knows how to manage pitching.
And a general manager who can get us some players.

There's talk now of trading Frenchy. Seems he's odd man out with Beltran back.
That sucks and honestly, I'd be pissed if they traded him. Having an arm like his in the outfield is a blessing!
And I'm still steamed about this bullshit with Chad Cordero. God forbid we pick up a starter. You know... a position where we really need some help. Nah... let's sign yet another injury plagued has been.

WTF is wrong with playing Beltran-Pagan-Frenchy, and and send Bay to a team that will give us a pitcher?
Bay is making too much $$ to be traded
bingo.
A funny thing happened this morning. When I took a carton of milk out of the refrigerator it had a picture of Tatis.

I can deal with a Bay-Beltran-Pagan-Frenchy platoon as long as they put the 3 out of 4 guys in who are currently producing instead of who they think they're supposed to put out there (looks in Beltran's direction). I think Beltran is still a little gimpy & maybe shouldn't be playing every day right now whereas Pagan has proven he's got what it takes to be an everyday player.
