Post some more, GoP. We'll just sit back and watch you pleasure yourself.
SFW, but in the spirit of NSFW. i like it!
Shadeelady knows where it's at. reminds me of the A-10 demo from last year's Jones Beach airshow, when early in the AM one of those bad boys dropped through the fog cover and scared the bejesus out of the entire beach. they're such great planes.

Firefox! i was more of a Top Gun kid...first "R" rated movie i saw in the theaters, at age 8. this would backfire on my parents, as my buddy Mike Monfett held me upside down in the school bus window so i could flip one of my classmates an upside-down one-fingered salute the same way Anthony Hopkins (RIP Goose) did to the Russki pilot on that first sortie early in the film. the school principal walking by at the time did not get the reference, but my folks did, and i wasn't punished at home.

Feesh, that Tomcat shot is dope. what's with all the vapor-plume pix?
are they real sound barrier breakings or photo shop? I've seen an F-14 break the sound barrier up close and it had a nice blueish hue surrounding it...but I was looking at it super close and with my own eyes...camera shots may come out different than eyes' views

what you're seeing is water vapor condensing around the aircraft at high speed. it has nothing to do with breaking the sound barrier, though it's often used as an visual analogy for same. the F-18s and F-22s at Jones Beach these past few years have popped vapor circles a few times...it's sick because you can see it fighting to happen then SMACK! it appears.
my question is where the hell did you see an F-14 break the sound barrier, from up close nonetheless?

TEO with a grand slam of pix! one of the hip-hop artists who hires me as his gigging/recording bassist posted the Rebel Bass shot to my facebook page earlier this week, it's an instant classic. what i wouldn't give to play a show on that bad boy! and i'm a sucker for all shots astronomical and natural.

For an elegant starter or light lunch, serve Mike Robinson's tempting rabbit terrine with baby pickles, grain mustard and good country bread
