Better yet just get a all foam one(or 2), like we finally did, 4" is excellent.
Yes, they are bulkier but you can stuff them in a compression bag.
they come in different sizes http://www.amazon.co...s/dp/B0018XR86M

Dee swears by her aerobed. And I have to admit one time when I snuck into her tent to go through her dirty delicates, it was so comfortable I fell asleep on it
no, serz...i use mine anywhere from 2-10 times a year and have had it since 04 and never had an issue...i paid less than a hundred back in 04 and have used it as a guest bed and a camping bed and it has been through the paces, lemme tell ya
and, i use it at fests and even if i am there 4 nights, it never loses air!
i get better rest on it than i do my crappy home bed
if i had to upgrade, i would get one of those double tall ones but there is nothing wrong with the one i have that paid for itself in two years...the 6 years since that it has SAVED me tons of money (i used to have to get a new coleman every year
if it wasnt for the aerobed, i would probably opt to stay in a hotel or not camp ))))my creaky joints((((
you have slept on my aerobed...its comfy, right?
as far as the complaints, i wonder if they have started using inferior materials in the 8 years since i got mine?

I know she has gone thru a shit ton of tents though.
Watched he shred a zipper trying to get out of her tent one Vibes. She was doing the pee pee dance and couldnt open her mesh window tent zipper. Finally she went all incredible hulk on it. I laughed so hard i fell out of my chair.
i loved that tent
too bad it wouldnt let me out when i HAD TO PEE!
luckily it was the last day of vibes
i even ran past dave (offering me bacon) and mel (offering me coffee) and tom (offering me, um...) to smack tony as i dashed for the flushies

cuz they didnt have the ones with the built-ins when i got mine
i bought an adapter that plugs into a car lighter and use that
wasnt much and you can use it for other stuff too
takes literally 30 seconds, tops, to blow up my mattress
and you can lay on it when you are inflating it, in order to find the perfect level of firmness
the cord doesnt even go into the tent, as it is removable and clicks right off
the only "problem" i have ever had is that when its rainy or really hot, sometimes condensation
builds up underneath it so when you go to pack out, there is moisture which isnt a good packing condition
unless you are ok with taking it out as soon as you get home and drying it
but that is solved so easily
i bring a cheap hospital blanket or small bath mat/rug and place it underneath it
sops up any moisture and you can wash it and reuse it
plus it keeps the mattress from sliding around
one other good thing about it is that it can be a raft
i found that out the hard way at vibes 05
i lay there trying to sleep and heard water but didnt realize it was IN my tent till the bed started to bob
so i took all the covers up so they didnt wick the water to me, and tried to sleep
semi-successfully...it was like victory at sea
that was the morning i woke to find twisted heaps of ez ups everywhere, tents wrapped around fences
amazing wreckage
but the mattress, apart from being wet, was fine and still serves me today

The aerobeds are comfy but too bulky for travel for us. We fly to 2-3 festivals a year and have to keep the packing to a minimum.
