my dad and ogre got a puppy!

his name is blue and they got him at 12 weeks old - about 2 weeks ago. ogre's son tom called them and said he'd gotten a puppy and didn't want him and did they want to take him. now before we all hate on tom, which i'm only too willing to do because he's not a very nice person, i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and saying that he got tired of ogre whining about getting/not getting a dog - for years now - and got the puppy knowing full well he was going to give it to them in the long run anyway. regardless, they drove 1/2 way to maine to meet tom a couple weeks ago and came home with puppy. he's a shih tzu, but some special kind and was, we believe, not cheap! my dad and ogre absolutely loooove him and he's adorable but are having fits over the awful tick situation that's going on this year. he was sitting in my lap today and a tick was on his fur in fact. so here is blue, and my dad:

OMG, it's a baby Ewok!!
that's what my sister said! and then she had to send my dad a picture of an ewok because he didn't know what one was. 
he is, TEO. and he and i have the same sense of humor.
on occasion, it was the only thing preventing us from killing each other.

my dog was Charlie, a black and white shih tzu. he was amazing. sweet, kind, loving.... a little cranky as an old man and he did go both deaf and blind so i am sure that didnt help his trust issues with kids around... but he lived a LONG time..... got him when i was 5 and he was put down when i was 22. he was a ripe age of 17. 
always called him an Ewok too.
