Attach contact info to things like cell phone, camera, and other valuables so we can contact you if your items get turned in to Lost & Found. Medical Tape and Sharpie or a Luggage Tag should do the trick!

 

Consolidate with your friends

• You don’t need 4 bottles of bug spray and 4 first aid kits at camp!
• Bring a mini tent to be used as a supply area.
• Keep cups, paper products, first aid kits & other sharable items in an accessible place for all.

Be prepared but don't overpack! Got home from the festival plenty of times and unpacked gear I hauled around ....then never even looked at the whole time.

A battery operated fan if the weather is going to be like last year.... I got one at Dick's Sporting Goods last year for small money and the original set of batteries still work and it got a ton of use last year.

A somewhat full tank of gas when you show up so you don't have to be towed like these people (ingress line).

Here's a great one.. the bugs on the ground in general camping last year made sitting at our campsite a nightmare. Everybody was getting their feet and ankles bitten. I swore that this year I would bring a tarp or carpet to put on the ground near my tent where we chill. Just remembered it so thought I'd pass it along

nope, not this year.

one thing i dont see on the list is moleskin
bring a small pair of scissors, a package of moleskin and some surgical tape
any blisters or raw rub marks from your shoes can be dressed securely so you can dance/walk comfortably
even in the most well-worn-in shoes/sandals, these things tend to happen at fests in my experience
what could be worse than being at vibes and not being able to dance?

Are backpacks allowed on the concert field? I may be getting there saturday morning but wont be able to check into hotel until later. Also hydration packs with water in them, allowed on concert field? Are beverages at all allowed on the field?

what about bicycles? would we even have room to ride them? I'm just curious... i know it might seem strange but this is all new to me! thank you!!!

@jcomeau amd mgm92...in order.....anyone please correct me if I'm wrong...yes, backpacks are allowed on concert field but they will be searched..no personal alcohol...you must buy alcohol inside the venue. You may bring ONE sealed 24 oz or less bottle of water onto the concert field. Hydration packs allowed but they must be empty upon entry. You can fill them up once inside the venue. You can drink all personal alcohol at your campsite but you can't bring any into venue. Yes bicycles are allowed but not on the concert field. They must be locked up (plenty of places to do this) before you enter concert field. Plenty of room to ride bicycles. I'm bringing bicycles this year to get around easier because last year the heat and long walks almost killed me.

Yes, you can bring backpacks, just not coolers.

No hydration packs either.

You can bring in 1 sealed 24 oz bottle of water from the Day entrance at North Grove.

if you have a lock that can fit using a chain link fence, that is the most abundant place to lock your bikes up
i think there were some bike stands but cant remember clearly as i am a hoofer...

You can use bicycles anywhere except the concert field..not sure about helmet rules for kids...check CT state law

between set changes the main road gets too busy to ride sometimes but usually you can use the bike lane without too many problems. people are gettng used to leaving that open and there are more bikes each year, too.

don't forget to decorate your bike with lights or something too! i also bring a basket and a bungee to attach it - really invaluable.

Crocs or other similar shoes can help when at the beach..we spent a lot of time at Midwest Beach last year rocks made it somewhat uncomfortable to wade out...also, goggles for the eyes to protect against the salt water...(if you choose to swim)....oh yes almost forgot: Gold Bond powder to prevent salt-water crotch rot

Large Sze Binder Clips - perfect to reseal a bag o chips or hang a tapestry / drop cloth off the side of an ez-up.

i will usually throw in a 3 pack of the 7mil clear palstic dropcloths in the car, to attach to the sides of my ez-up in case it rains.

these can come in handy as well

I highly recommend bringing a skateboard if you have one. No need to lock anything up!

plenty of room to chain your bike to the fence near the concert field ... fun to go for a ride, and really nice for riding down to the free public showers (in the cement building a half mile or so outside the gate, along the beach) ...

orange surveyors flagging tape to mark your tent lines (makes them easier to see when it's dark) ... wookie repellant ...

You can bring EMPTY CamelBacks onto the concert field. Fill em up at the hydration station

• 1-24 oz sealed or unsealed water per person. No coolers.
  
• Any non-alcohol beverage purchased from a food vendor may pass through security check points.
  
• Per state law, you cannot bring alcohol into the concert or general assembly areas.
  
• Any container larger than 24 oz needs to be emptied and can be refilled at our free water station (located at the Food Court)
  
• Empty CamelBacks, or empty water bottles up to 1 gallon, may be brought into General Assembly and filled at our free filling stations.
