I just read in the 'faq' section that there will be a designated "sober camp" and that it's requested that people preregister for this.

Anybody have more info?

I just spoke with Angel at the office. This year there will be designated sober camping at Vibes. You can request to be 'placed' there by emailing the address below, and they will send a tag or sticker for your vehicle. That way you can be sure to camp with the wharf rats. They are going to work out a specific site for us, so it won't be as haphazard as it was before.

Please let people who would like to camp with the Wharf Rats know.

I would like to camp in a sober area. How can I do this?

Every year, the Wharf Rats set up a sober camp somewhere in the Family Camping area. This year, we are going to pre-register folks for sober camp. Please send your request to SoberCamping@gatheringofthevibes.com.

Hmmm, I stayed in family camping last year 50 yards away from that bathroom/swimming pool and it was not a sober camping experience at all.

..We will be joining the sober camp this year. I am looking foward to a 'very different experience' than what I am used to going to a festival. As with the shows I have been to during sobriety have already shown, my memories will be much more vivid

It was nice camping with all y'all.

That worked so well, it's almost unbelievable. So many people showed up that might not have been able to before because of logistics. So much time hanging out and having fun, there isn't time to think of getting loaded = more fun. I already planted the seed in my wifes ear about next year.
