He won't be allowed to win. So it's all for not. Maybe in 2024 (presuming we even still have elections come that date) we'll have someone show up on the scene with the same principles and consistent record, just in time for the earth to get smashed by an assroid.

While I do agree with you TASB, I am somewhat optimistic because the attention Paul and others of his ilk is growing. It's a process, but I believe people are warming up to the idea that neither the Democrats or Republicans aren't getting it done. To think there really is a difference between today's Republicans and Democrats is to be not paying attention.

It's a roller coaster ride for me. Some days Im super positive the message is really getting around and then other days, especially when someone like Santorum can gain so much momentum, I just lose all faith in my fellow Americans. I still hope and will be pushing until the deal is sealed.

I hear ya. Same for me. But momentum for a 3rd party is growing. That can't be denied. And people are getting fed up. That can't be denied. We're on our way to a revolution. That can't be denied. And I embrace that direction. That can't be denied. It just takes some time. The first revolution may have a 1776 stamp on it, but it started long before that.

I don't think for a second he's going to win but yeah it's all about building momentum for REAL change.

I used to work for a polling company. All of those numbers except Gingrich are what we would call "statistical ties" but headline writers seem to prefer fiction to actual data.

It's because that's the only data that exceeds the margin of error. Couldn't care less which names are attached.

Not everything is a conspiracy. At least look for the non-conspiracy
answer. In this case it was simple and clear, but even when things
are complex, that habit of looking for an being ready to accept
a reasonable and rational non-conspiracy reason will, in my
opinion, serve you well.

Who said anything about a conspiracy? I asked for Julius to explain himself and he did. End of story. No one said anything about any conspiracy.

These numbers also mean little because Obama hasn't begun to
hit back yet. All of the republicans are hammering on him and they
are getting plenty of news-coverage and debate time to do it.
Right now it's like we're all hearing only one-side of an argument.

Once there is a republican candidate and Obama starts putting a
different light on the issues, these numbers will change.

While I agree they may mean little as far as this election goes, I think it does speak to the fact that people are getting fed up with both parties.

Is it just me who's sick of the pundit disclaimer "if the election were held today..."? It's not. If my sister had a dick, she'd be my brother. Same concept.

rasmussen polling isn't really a "pundit", as it were. It is a data collecting and statistical generator that tries to harness the current tone of those surveyed and then cast it as the general concessus.

At any rate, as Julius, Jab and Joker point out, it doesn't mean anything other than ones own drawn conclusion. Don't worry, Obamney will win in November.
