Obama: Where's the Change?

Bill Maher was crystal clear to the point in one of his last shows...how saturated he is with seeing Obama parade around slutting himself out to the papparazi. Who cares where he eats his burgers? Who cares what designer dresses his wife? Who cares about where he got his dog from? Who cares about his stay in Marthas Vineyard?
Do something for this fucking country, and then I'll bow down to you.
I voted for you...and from my perspective...you have been waltzing around this country for the past year...instead of providing us with the CHANGE you preached about.
I understand it takes years and years of work to unravel and fix the mishaps that our previous mentally retarded president left us in...but do your fucking job, and stop acting like you're some superstar.

Okay....I know some people will jump my throat for this thread...but I am interested in having an adult conversation here...(Not one of those your favorite band sucks heated dilemmas)....

If he can get his Healthcare reform, that would be real change.. Huge change.. He's been in office for less than a year, you can't expect all that much.. I do see more transparency in his office compared to other administrations.. I'm also happy with the change from having a president who sounded like a complete moron when he spoke..

By paying off Wall Street and the Banks and all his other contributors, he's put more and more generations deeper and deeper into debt.
You want change? How about the INCREASE in the loss of jobs? But hey, interest rates are low. Woo Hoo, We've got change
...sorry about the sarcasm, but yeah I agree with you, now with this health care handout I think the only change we're going to keep seeing is for the worse.

he is doing his job. as you said, it takes years of work and the rest of the federal gov't working in tandem with him. and the current Man of the Year/Nobel Peace Prize winner is going to be a superstar. he can't help that. don't blame him for it.
if we reach the halfway point of his term and see little significant change, then it's time to start asking hard questions about whether or not he deserves re-election. but give him his first full year in office (and another one just for good measure) before you ride him out of town on a rail, ok?
like it or not, unless he fucks up royally or you renounce your citizenship, he's your president until January 20th, 2013.

Remember it took 8+ years to legislate the climate that resulted in this Depcession.
In his first month in office a major depression was avoided...

I respectfully disagree.

When he first took office he said we would see unemployment increase for a year or more...change requires a foundation and considering much of what was in place needs to be torn down first the delay is a nirvana for the impatient and the naysayers. What? He's changed plenty.
By paying off Wall Street and the Banks and all his other contributors, he's put more and more generations deeper and deeper into debt.

i'm sorry for anyone who voted for Obama expecting miracles out of the shambles we were in when he was sworn in. we do indeed need to do things differently than the good old boy way if we want everyone to have equal representation by our govt.
we have to begin somewhere and we have begun, unfortunately the good old boys will attempt to stop anyone from taking away their personal prosperity. like the payoffs from lobbists .. like life long senators embedded in the pockets of those lobbists, not to mention corruption and special interest groups.
real change comes when the govt is for the ppl, ours has not been about that for a long time. and that change is hitting a lot of resistance at the moment.

this doesn't read like an 'adult conversation', imho
mine either.
He's living up to his status as the first black president. I don't believe he's slutting himself at all. And YES it does take years to unravel the damage that's been done. When will people ever learn that the president has a lot less power than you wish to believe.

Well we have a larger gov't, less jobs, we are kissing the asses of terrorists and giving america a weak image by closing gitmo, he diffused a race war (that he started with inflammarory comments) with his beer summit , had a sweet photo op or 2, initiated a move towards socialism, yeah looks like change is coming!

I feel like this may not be an objective point of view.
