the campus i live on down here in costa rica is home to 8 dogs...one in particular is a very masculine hunter type. he loves to attack the howler monkeys when they get too close to the ground. we keep an eye out for this, but today he was too quick.

he got a little girl monkey in his mouth. my teacher was able to get to the scene in time to save her from being killed, but she was cowering in the branches after that and was in a lot of shock. we got the ladder to try and see if she was injured, but she was able to climb up higher...which is hopefully a good thing!

we're not sure if she's going to be ok or not. please send her some healing vibes. her dad was around making all sorts of noise so hopefully he'll be able to help her out and get her back on her feet.
